Our five days keep to a set pattern through the week, which is what makes a trip here easy to plan from a distance. The guide lays that pattern out on one grid, then walks through the decisions that follow from it: how many nights to allow, whether to sleep on the town side or by the pier, where the 340 THB park fee applies and where it does not, how long the drive is from Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lak and Surat Thani, what the rain months mean in practice, and what goes in the bag for each kind of day.
